Campaign Story
White River Junction businesses create a resilient downtown that strengthens our village’s character. They have developed a strong, trusted network through years of collaboration on White River Junction First Fridays and, more recently, two-plus years of COVID-19 response. This network is now effectively responding to the latest downtown setbacks: summer road construction and an August basement flood.
Let’s keep these businesses moving forward as they work to recover. Funds raised through this campaign will allow that business network to decide among a number of options, including direct financial help for businesses most impacted by the construction and flood, or renewed overall promotion for downtown businesses.
We here in White River Junction are so thankful to benefit from the wonderful downtown businesses that continue to bring their best to the table.
However, these businesses and the people behind them aren’t backing down in the face of these challenges. Our downtown community finds creative ways to keep forging ahead to make White River Junction a great place to gather. Whether it be Piecemeal Pies and Tuckerbox bringing folks together over good food or Flourish Beauty supplying allergen-free skin and hair care, every one of these small businesses contributes something to the community.
Throughout all these difficulties, our business leaders continue to talk about the importance of the community. Justin Barrett of Piecemeal Pies says it best: “We wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t for how amazing our community is. It means a lot that we can lean on them. That’s why we’re here.”
A community benefits when everyone brings their best to the table. White River Junction, businesses bring their best every day — even through a pandemic, major road construction, and now flood damage.
Support these fantastic businesses that add so much to our village and the Upper Valley as a whole!

Maria Lara –
We love the Upper Valley and White River Junction is at its heart. As soon as this campaign goes live, we hope to contribute what we can —and continue support WRJ businesses with our patronage as often as we can! Thank you. <333
